It’s a Family Thing

James and I have fond childhood memories of helping our grandparents with their abundant gardens; harvesting tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and more all throughout the summer. As we set out on our own adventure to do the same for our daughter, to provide her with better quality food than we could find in the grocery store, it became apparent how much information is out there that just isn’t applicable to growing in our South Florida climate.

Our family motto is “Team Minns!” And, as a team, we started researching as much as we could. We found seed companies with specially adapted seeds for the South Eastern United States. We experimented in our own back yard’s micro climate. Having success where others had failed, we realized we needed to share our knowledge with others. Utilizing Caitlyn’s garden design experience, we embarked on a new mission to help people in “difficult growing climates” to grow their own food year round. We have proven you can have edible abundance in small spaces, in challenging climates, and within neighborhood restrictions.
